Scott Roberts, Director of Life Insurance & Estate Planning, CPA | CLU®
Scott sits at the intersection of two disciplines that rarely talk to each other: tax accounting and life insurance strategy. For business owners with complex estates, that combination is rare – and valuable.
His work centers on making the complex clear. Through financial modeling, Scott shows clients exactly how their assets flow across generations – through wills, trusts, and other planning structures – before coordinating with their CPAs and attorneys to make sure everything works together. Wealth preservation, wealth transfer, life insurance, and philanthropic planning, fully integrated.
Scott is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He previously served as an estate planning specialist at a well-known financial planning firm in Atlanta, and before that as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen, where he planned and executed audits for both private and SEC-registered companies.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, with honors, from the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida, and a Master of Accounting degree from Florida International University. In addition to his CPA license, Scott holds the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation.
Having lived in Madrid for nearly a year, Scott is fluent in Spanish.
He and his wife Liz have two children, two dogs, and five cats. He’s a passionate soccer fan – coaching, watching, writing about it, and still playing on Monday nights when his knees cooperate.
